Michigan Works Workshop Part 1

Learn about Michigan Works services and see if you qualify for intensive services like: one-on-one career coaching; access to training funds; assistance with licensure and certification costs; priority connections to employers; and specialized resume, cover letter, and interviewing assistance. Reservations required. Please bring the following documents so we can determine for which services you are eligible: -U.S. birth certificate or resident alien card -social security card -valid Michigan driver's license or state identification card -high school diploma or GED, if applicable -proof of income over past 12 months (this can include check stubs, tax forms, print out from bank, pension statements, farm and business financial records) -unemployment information(determination letter from unemployment, print out from bank if direct deposit) -monetary determination letter from DHS if within past 6 months (if applicable) -proof of registration for selective services (any male born after 1-1-1960) -veteran status (copy of DD-214)
