Buchanan District Library is your hometown library, offering books, programs, and services to enrich your life and empower our community. Enjoy more than 51,000 items to check out, including books, audiobooks, movies, music CDs, and video games. In addition, we have a Library of Things that includes instruments, tools, hotspots, outdoor gear, kitchen equipment, puzzles, and much more. During the growing season, be sure to check out our Seed Library, with more than 250 varieties of seeds for you to take home and plant in your garden. And we offer all of this without charging late fines! Oh, and did we mention our many programs and events for kids, teens, and adults? Our library is a place for people to connect to information, resources, services, and each other. We hope you’ll be part of it!
Buchanan District Library serves an area that includes the City of Buchanan, Buchanan Township, Bertrand Township, and parts of Niles Township. If you’re not sure if you live in our district, just call and ask!

Our library is part of the Southwest Michigan Digital Library, which features more than 32,000 ebooks and audiobooks through the Libby app. We also provide access to hoopla, which offers another 1,500,000 titles with no waiting to check out!
