Tuba Christmas is an annual tradition held in cities worldwide. The first Tuba Christmas was held on December 22, 1974 in Rockefeller Center, and was organized by Harvey G. Phillips to honor his tuba teacher, William Bell, who was born on Christmas Day, 1902.
