NOTICE OF BUDGET HEARING

The Buchanan District Library Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed library budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026 at the Buchanan District Library located at 128 E. Front St., Buchanan, Michigan 49107 on June 26, 2025 at 6:30 p.m.  The property tax millage rate proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be a subject of this hearing. A copy of the budget, including the proposed property tax millage rates, is available for public inspection on the library’s website, www.buchananlibrary.org, and also at the Buchanan District Library, located at 128 E. Front St., Buchanan, Michigan 49107, during business hours.

The Buchanan District Library must hold a public hearing before the final adoption of the budget.  Any interested person will be given the opportunity to be heard at the public hearing regarding the proposed budget.

The Buchanan District Library Board will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audio tapes of printed materials being considered at the meeting, to individuals with disabilities at the meeting upon 3 days’ notice to the Library Board.  Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services should contact the Library by writing or calling the following:  Meg Paulette Perez, Library Director, Buchanan District Library located at 128 E.
